HISTORY
It started its operations as the Medical Services and Techniques department in the 2016-2017 academic year. Formal and evening education sections are active in the department.

DEGREES TO BE EARNED
Medical Laboratory Technician associate degree.
ACCEPTANCE CONDITIONS
Medical laboratory program; Vocational high schools; Graduates of Midwifery, Midwifery-Nursing, Nursing, Laboratory, Laboratory, Laboratory Technician, Health Officer, Veterinary-Laboratory departments can apply to transfer to the "Medical Laboratory Techniques Program" associate degree programs without an exam.
Those who have/will graduate from departments or high schools other than the departments of vocational high schools designated for transfer without examination must be successful in the examination held by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) if there is a quota at the end of placement without examination.
Admission conditions for foreign students are announced on the university's website at the beginning of each academic year.
TRANSITION TO THE UPPER LEVEL
Those who successfully complete the program are Medical Laboratory Techniques Program students if they are successful in the Vertical Transfer exam opened by ÖSYM; They can make vertical transfer to Biology or Nursing undergraduate programs.
GRADUATION CONDITIONS
Students must complete the course for 120 ECTS. They must also obtain a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
Course Exemption;
Students who have taken the exam held by ÖSYM and are definitely registered for the first year may be considered exempt from the courses they have previously completed at other higher education institutions, by the decision of the relevant board of directors, if they apply within the first week of the academic year in which they will start their education. In this case, a higher class will be determined to which a student who is exempt from at least 75% of the total credits required to be taken in his current class will be transferred. In this case, the adjusted period is deducted from the maximum education period.
Horizontal Transfer;
For horizontal transfer to higher education institutions that provide education entirely or partially in foreign languages, it is necessary to be successful in the foreign language proficiency exam held by the relevant higher education institution or to document a score at the success level determined by the relevant higher education institution in national or internationally valid foreign language exams during the application.
The courses taken by students who come through horizontal transfer from the previous diploma program are exempted, and their general grade point average is determined according to the courses taken from the higher education institution where they completed the diploma program.
Vertical transmission;
Students who have the right to start their undergraduate education are given an exemption from the courses they have taken during their associate degree education by their universities, and the courses they need to take from the program are determined by taking their credits into consideration.
The student is given the right to continue education by enrolling in the program according to the courses he/she must take. In programs where teaching is taught in a foreign language and in programs with a compulsory foreign language preparatory class, students must pass the foreign language exemption exam held by the university or be successful by attending the foreign language preparatory class in order to start the undergraduate program.

Program graduates can work in healthcare institutions in the private and public sectors.
Exams, Measurement and Evaluation
They are subject to midterm and final exams for each course. The contribution of the midterm exam to the success grade is 40%, and the contribution of the final exam is 60%.
All exams are evaluated over 100 points. It is mandatory to get at least 45 points from the final exam. AA, BA, BB from one course; A student who receives one of the letter grades CB and CC is considered successful.
In addition, students with a semester grade point average of at least 2.00 are considered successful in the courses in which they received a DC letter grade.
